Frequently asked questions
Do I need to bring both computers?
Yes, bring the old and new computers with their chargers. If the old one doesn't work, bring it anyway. We can often get the files off the drive.
Can you move my programs too?
We move your files and settings. Some programs need to be reinstalled on the new computer with your licence or login, and we can help with that.
Will you wipe my old computer?
Only if you ask. If you're selling or passing it on, we can securely clear it so none of your data goes with it.
How long does a data transfer take?
It depends on how much data you have. We'll give you a clear timeframe when you drop it in.
Is my data kept private?
Always. We only access what's needed to do the job, and your files never leave our workshop.
